How to convert a picture into an icon
Digitope Pixelshop includes many time-saving features, such as Convert an Image and Create a Folder Icon. Below is a demonstration of how easy it is to create an icon using Digitope Pixelshop.
Step 1 - Preparing the image
For this example, we're use the fictitious company "EmeraldLeaf". Below is their company logo.

First, using your favorite image editor, such as Microsoft Paint, crop the image so you only have the leaf. Make sure it's cropped tightly; no thick white border. Save the image on your desktop.

Now you're ready to create the icon.
Step 2 - Using Image Conversion tool
Start Digitope Pixelshop. On the startup screen, select Convert an Image. Now you're be presented with the Convert an Image welcome screen. Click Next.
Click Browse, and select your image. Pixelshop will automatically pick the mask color; however, to change it, click anywhere on the image. To adjust the mask similarity, move the slider.

When you're ready, click Next. This will show a dialog where you can select the icon sizes you wish to create.

Click Finish to create the icon. Now you're at the main icon editor window. If you want, you can edit the icon further.

All you need to do now is save the icon and use it in your application.
