Troubleshooting

This article explains how to solve the most common issues. If the problem you’re encountering isn’t listed, or you have any questions, feel free to contact us.

An error occurs installing the software

  1. An error can happen if another program is being installed or updated in the background. Restart the computer to finish any other installations and try to install Audio Digitalizer again.
  2. If your PC has Windows XP or Vista, or a 32-bit version of Windows 8 or 10, use the 32-bit version of Audio Digitalizer. See page X for more information.
  3. If the problem continues, contact us and make sure to include in your message the exact text of the error message.

Only silence is recorded

  1. If your PC has only one audio socket, it is probably a headset socket and won’t work for recording. See page x for more information.
  2. Make sure the right recording source is selected. See page X for instructions.
  3. Increase the volume on the tape player and in Audio Digitalizer.

An error occurs burning a cd

  1. Try another brand of discs
  2. Choose a lower write speed down in settings.
  3. Try using Windows to burn the disc. See page x for instructions.

An error occurs using the software

  1. Try restarting your computer and try again – the error often won’t occur again.
  2. If the error continues, contact us making sure to including in your message the exact text of the error message and your PC’s configuration details. See next page for more information.
